Sea Tourism
The Turkish Mediterranean resorts offer excellent holiday conditions, infinite opportunities for having fun and unforgettable experience. The coastline along the Mediterranean Sea is an appealing destination, famous for its magnificent scenery with picturesque bays and rocky peninsulas, crystal-clear waters, wide beaches and pine forests. The beautiful site where the Aegean meets the Mediterranean is the beginning of the Turquoise Coast, surrounded by the mountains of the Taurus Mountains whose cliffs drop steeply right into the blue sea. The Turquoise Coast, i.e. Turkey’s Mediterranean shore, is the first place to think of when you're considering a seaside vacation in Turkey. Nearly 1600 km long, with wonderful beaches and ruins of ancient cities scattered on it, the Turquoise Coast is one of the best places for a vacation in Turkey. Further along the Mediterranean one reaches the Turkish Riviera situated in the region of Antalya. These two together make up much of the tourism capital of Turkey. Endless days of sunshine make it a paradise for boat cruises, sunbathing and swimming and numerous water sports, and there are a variety of restaurants and bars to round off a day on the water.
